I’ll easily be awake until 5. Then I’ll probably doze at my desk for a couple hours, drop by the lab, then go home for a few to sleep. Anyway I’m awake and being mildly productive while I let my experiments run.
For example, I just cleaned about 5 years of grime from the mini-fridge in the office. I can’t guarantee that it hadn’t been cleaned in 5 years. But I do know that It hadn’t been cleaned in the nearly year-and-a-half that I’ve been here. For the first 6 months there were even food items that remained completely untouched, including a can of Sprite that seemed quite outdated.
Anyway, the whole “Iran is led by a bunch of crazy mother fuckers” and “how do we deal with it” and “how do we move away from oil (if at all)” facts and questions have been running through my head. Over the last 3 days I’ve started at least 3 posts on the issues and probably written about 3 or 4 pages of material.
I see no reason to give Iran any concessions. The sad state of global politics has already given them time, which is generally what any rogue regime needs to accomplish often horrendous goals. As Stephen Green at Vodkapundit aptly points out, the global community has been more likely to assume the role of the milk-money carrying little kid who is daily victimized by a bully.
This is why I love to openly mock people who beg to “give peace a chance” or that there is no place for war. Even if humanity could collectively forget violence, the intelligence of mankind would recreate it. Those completely unwilling to fight back, especially those with nice things, become the feast for the next hungry lion.
So it occurred to me that this is going to turn into a long, late night, stream-of-thought, caffeine addled rant. You might want to stop reading here.
