The AP notes:
Peak summer demand can be nearly double the demand of a typical day in a mild month like April or October. The PJM Interconnection, which operates the transmission grid in parts of 13 mid-Atlantic states, hit a record peak demand of 146,082 megawatts Tuesday. That compares to a typical April peak load of 78,000 megawatts.
It is true that PJM hit a record. What is left out, however, is that PJM recently absorbed a large service territory in Ohio, ATSI, that increased the size of PJM by approximately 10%.
That said, PJM will probably record a new record today of around 151,000MW. It is also forecast to set another new record tomorrow, somewhere around 156,000MW.

Dear AOL,
In the modern internet age, I found you useful for only 1 thing, and that was your TV guide listings. They were useful. Thank you for fucking that up. Your new design looks great. That is until you scroll down a bit and realize that no useful information is being provided.
AOL, thanks again. Real useful.
Sincerely,
Nobrainer
