New knives

For my birthday I asked for and received my first serious kitchen knives. The knives in question were of the Victorinox (i.e. the makers of Swiss Army knives) Fibrox variety, which received very favorable reviews from America’s Test Kitchen. I finally got to put one to a good use tonight in slicing up some raw beef. Oooohh! It worked like a charm. It was such a pleasure to have a real knife.

PS – I had so much fun slicing up the beef, I decided it ought to be marinated in Worcestershire and bourbon. I hope it turns out well.
