Obama and GM
Filed under: Politics — nobrainer @ 10:20 pm

On one hand, I’m happy that someone called out GM, Chrysler, and their “plans” for rebuilding themselves. Coyote Blog commented in February about how the plans seemed to have been pulled completely out of someone’s ass.

On the other hand, I don’t like any of Obama’s rhetoric. I’m willing to bet a shiny nickel that he’s just acting tough now and that he’ll grant both Chrysler and GM a huge pass in a month even though notadamnthing will have changed in the mean time.

Flipping off my radio
Filed under: General — nobrainer @ 8:15 am

This morning I heard a moveon.org commercial on my radio. Let’s just say it did not make me happy.

So this is how it’s going to be. Moveon is going to run probama, election-style commercials for the next for years. Lovely.

On the upside, they encouraged people to call our local senator (Warner), but they read the phone number so fucking fast that I can’t believe anyone would be able to write it down. So presumably mostly only people who keep Senator Warner’s phone number on speed dial will be able to give him any feed back.

The Coalition of the Swilling has the video.

Bravo to JetBlue for these videos. I am, in all seriousness, much more inclined to fly on JetBlue than I was before.

Because Family Guy slammed into the shark, died on impact, and then got ripped to shreds…

In case you weren’t watching tonight’s new episode, here’s what you need to know. They did one of their flashovers, or whatever they’re called, to some old footage of Conway Twitty in a leisure suit singing some shitty country song for about 3 minutes. I’m not exactly sure how long it was. But it was long enough for me to lose interest, regain interest, wonder what channel I was watching, wonder why I was watching such crap, go to YouTube, search for some good country music, and watch the first minute of the video below.

So here’s Waylon Jennings.
