Albany and back
Filed under: General — nobrainer @ 12:44 am

I’m back in Northern VA after my brief trip to Albany. What did I learn on my trip?

- Making blog comments about terrorist watch lists does not seem to impact how carefully I am screened
- Albany definitely has a bad side of town
- I otherwise learned very little about Albany
- Hanging out in a room full of mostly old power systems engineers is pretty freaking boring
- If anyone ever tells you anything about the electrical grid, they are probably wrong
- I should have paid more attention in circuits class. On the flipside, I blame Dr. Drake for designing a class that was passable as opposed to educational.
- I love small airports. ALB >> IAD. Flying back today, my co-workers and I breezed through security, stopped, had dinner, walked to our gate and go on the plane without having to wait at all.
- Scrod is not a particular type of fish.
- I hate flying.
