In case you were worried, I did survive my first week. Most of the paperwork was out of the way after the first day. The rest of the time was split among training sessions. Some were about the company, others about strategy, still others about MySQL training.
In the upcoming week, I’ll spend more time receiving specialized training from my team and learning the ins and outs of my market.
The company still seems good, and I am not worried about this job becoming as miserable as what some of y’all have faced. The company takes the position that we are to be given any tools we need to do our jobs. So we get good computers, extra monitors, and even a production department to make our powerpoint presentations for us.
In other news, I’m still getting settled in my new house. I have a list of things I need to buy. But it sure is good to have a washer and dryer that do not have to be fed quarters.
