When driving on snow and ice, the worst thing you can do is lock up your brakes.
Jumping out of your moving car is also pretty stupid.

That was good clean fun. However, if I was a driver, I would have kicked the cameramans ass for not being at the top of the hill giving some kind of warning. The best is the guy watching his rearview mirror and saying “We’re gonna get hit” and just waiting on it in the car.
@Wha:
That footage is from Denver - saw it on the news a couple of years ago. Apparently that hill is rather infamous and the cops try to patrol it every time there’s snow, but people are still idiots. Don’t blame the cameraman - he was out getting footage of the idiots.
Speaking of snow-driving idiots, have you seen the particular brand Portland, OR produces? That there takes some talent, y’all.
Very true. When you need to stop on ice it’s better to “kick drum” the brakes to reduce sliding and gradually bring the car to a surprisingly effective halt. My dad’s from Vermont and showed me. There has yet to be a winter in Virginia that I can recall keeping him off the road.
