My freaking internet is down and has been for 3 days. And now my laptop has become petulant (strangely after a discussion about throwing computers from windows).
UPDATE: On the upside, the ISP provider’s shit is no longer all apart, and my home internet works once again. Also I was finaly able to reboot my computer and actually get logged in.
The bad news is that my hard drive is almost certainly failing. I’m backing up everything to a USB hard drive as I type (on a different computer I should note).
If this is indeed a hardware failure, it will be the first serious error I’ve encountered as an owner of PCs. In the past I witnessed the failure of many of my friends’ Compaq hard drives, but the apparent failure of this drive from Dell really pisses me off. Fortunately my 5+ year old 0.333 GHz Dell is able to run as backup while my 15 month old 3GHz laptop founders.
Waaaay tooooo much porn will do that.
If that was the problem, I would not be upset.
