Beer Commercials

WTF is wrong with Miller and Coors these days? I fully realize they are not winning the market share battle in American beer sales. However, the logic mustered in many of their recent commercials is just horrid.

Now I don’t have any major problems with either company’s products. I would gladly accept any of their fresh products if they were free. Moreover, I would not be destroyed if I was faced with a non-Anheuser-Bush situation.

The commercials of which I speak, often extol their products’ possession of more flavor or taste. I won’t disagree that there’s more taste, but it isn’t a better taste. Similarly, TigerTales has more strippers than my local Hooters, but I’d rather get ripped off by Hooters. Furthermore, I’d bet that a big stinking heap of dog shit has “more flavor” than a can of Bud Light.

With all that, I will stick with my AB products when it comes to common American brews. If I want a really good beer, I will look elsewhere.
